More to come.

assalamualaikum

in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful

I envy these doctors.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCs) will send a medical team to Cairo, Egypt, this Friday to support the Palestine Red Crescent Society's (PRCs) relief and humanitarian work following the crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The team, comprising three doctors led by Dr Yahaya Abd Ahmad from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and a relief and logistics officer will depart from the KL International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang, Friday night.

"I feel anxious. With the help from Dr Azmi Yusof and Dr Maznor Shari (the other two doctors), I hope we can assist those in need in this crisis," he said. - [source]

Now they are able to do this while I'm still stuck at home. It may take as long as 2 months before I start my official work. I wish them good luck and hope everything goes well. Prayers to Allah that they will come home safe and sound. Thank you.

On the other side of the world, Venezuala is doing what many Arab nations are not capable of.

CARACAS 7 Jan. – Kerajaan Venezuela semalam mengusir Duta Israel ke negara ini sebagai protes terhadap serangan rejim itu ke atas Genting Gaza.[source]

I feel embarrassed and ashamed honestly. I guess it is true OIC stands for Oh-I-See. When are we going to stand up and speak as one?

Meanwhile in Malaysia, PAS and UMNO are battling for KT Parliamentary seat. This matters most to both, and it is very very disappointing. PAS has come up with its Tabung Palestin, so does UMNO. PAS is organising its Palestine demonstration, and so does UMNO. If they can come together and speak as 1 ummah, the outcome expected should be way better than what we have achieved today.

Most of you are familiar with this song. What I want us to do is to now search for the lyrics.

Thank you.

Till next time,
assalamualaikum
p/s : latest news 135 Palestinians massacred on Tuesday. No more money will be spent on Coca Cola, Starbucks, Dunhill(saya tak pernah merokok).

Maybe we shud'nt eat anymore KFC, Mc Donald & Burger King. Maybe we shud just be eating Ramli Burger & eat in the Mamak Stall until we get diarrhea & abd cramps.
Maybe we shud boycott Ganong & Guyton as out medical books since those books are written by U.S medical profession. Instead, we shud be reading the Physiology textbook published in India.
Maybe we shud'nt watch anymore American movies. Lets boycott Hollywood movie and watch Bollywood movie altogether. Yahoo!!

so what are you saying here?

you seriously think i've never thought of that? I wasnt a true fan of this boycott campaign before, and I made it clear in a couple of entries..what I have been campaigning is we should instead focus on building our own strength.

http://azrifickry.blogspot.com/2008/05/pilihanku.html

However, Israel has suddenly become extremely aggressive that actions are needed to stop them.

And, since this suggestion has been made by a leader, I have stated before that I am willing to comply. Quoting Tun M,

Asked on the repercussions of boycotting US-based products, Mahathir said that with every action "there is a price that we must pay but if we keep quiet on these things, matters are only going to get worse".

Apart from boycotting, we are also encouraging people to donate, n this donation keeps flowing in.

Why are we doing this? We do not have sufficient weaponry to fight them, therefore we are reducing their spending power to further create more weapons. To expect us to go to Palestine is impossible, because all entries to it are closed.

I don't think you too have the guts to go there. You had no guts to even reveal your name.

What we are doing may not be enough. But I am proud to say we have done something. Yes, to boycott 100% is impossible, but we are doing what we can. It's not only the thought that counts here, the action is too.

While we realise this is perhaps not enough, a reduction of few billion USD in their profit is also a success.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE THESE PALESTINIANS? or what have you done to reduce the impacts?
