Tell Me
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
Now, somebody please tell me, how will you survive when you have 11 on calls and 5 stand by calls in a month. Goodness me, I am so screwed.
I might as well say goodbye now to weekends in June. As a friend had said, our good time has come to an end. It hasn't yet, and I don't want it to go either.
If I have 11 on calls, that means I will have 11 post call days. That is equivalent to 22 days. Plus another 5 days to be on standby mode, that means I have only 3 days left.
I'm moving out renting a place nearby next month. That would take a substantial amount of time and money. If shifting takes 3 days, excluding monetary losses, I have nothing to gain next month.
Somehow I feel sometimes I complain a lot.
If I spent less time complaining, I could spare some energy to feed my brain with knowledge. Weak people complain a lot I suppose.
Having said this, I think I should stop writing. For some reading, InsyaAllah.
till next time,

Not the Doctor
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
I would like to echo the sentiments played by Dian. We the doctors are insufficiently appreciated. Maybe we should finally say 'enough is enough'.
I just finished my on call. If I was a married man, both my wife and kids would be neglected. Why? I have no energy to last more than 2 hours after this text was prepared.
They keep on playing the tune ' We survived this before, so why can't u? '.
As if they never complained of the same thing.
If the previous generation survived with the old Proton Saga, I don't see the reason why the current senior doctors should contemplate the idea of buying a Toyota Camry.
If the previous generations were so fantastic, then they should stick to open laparotomy, and should be content with so many risk of rebleeding and infections.
People get better once improvements have been made.
Why force people to work after they have run tirelessly for more than 24 hours? They are robots, aren't they?
We, the doctors, are so tired to even form a union to fight for our rights.
Back in New Zealand previously, the House Officers and Registrars went for a 2 day strike. The consultants had to bow to their requests eventually.
The teachers? They have so much time that they requests here and there every year. Better still, they get what they want!
The doctors are overutilised. No wonder they run to private practice once the compulsory service is over.
Arghhhh, why should I complain.
The previous super fantastic, awesome and marvellous doctors survived their time, didn't they?
They never complained too I believe.
Yeah right.

Good Man
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
Rafael has defended himself very well. Supported by statistics!!
Benitez insists he is happy on Merseyside but he has been the subject of increasing criticism following a season where they finished seventh in the Barclays Premier League.
However, he defended his tenure and told the Daily Mirror: "There is this legend that Liverpool hasn't won many trophies, that we have failed in that aspect.
"Well, Chelsea and Manchester United have won 10 trophies in the six years I've been in Liverpool; Arsenal, Spurs and Portsmouth one.
"Liverpool? Four trophies and we have played in three finals. Liverpool have been competitive.
"Does Liverpool have to win the league, as everybody demands, every year?"
The former Valencia manager also feels he has not had as much control as he would have liked.
"Does the manager have absolute power in England?" he went on.
"No, it depends on a budget and on the executive director that negotiates the signings of players.
"And it depends on the money you have and the intelligence with which you operate in the market place.
"Look at the wages picked up by the players on Chelsea or Manchester United's substitutes' bench: (John) Obi Mikel, (Michael) Owen, (Salomon) Kalou, (Dimitar) Berbatov, (Michael) Carrick could be on £4million a year!
"When Portsmouth offered Peter Crouch more money than we were paying him and promised him a starting place, it became very complicated for us to keep hold of him. The arrival of Fernando Torres meant he couldn't play as often at Liverpool."
Benitez also claimed to have made money for the club.
"Some people say I have spent £280million.
"But we have spent £220million on players and generated £160million in player sales. That is the equivalent of a £60million net spend over six years: in other words, £10million spent per year.
"Deduct from that figure the £120million revenue from the Champions League success and qualification over that period, and we have in fact generated an additional £60million benefits for the club."

10 more days
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
I glimpsed through my sister's blog, and apparently the speed offered by Unifi is truly awesome.
I need one.
I miss everyone in KL. I haven't seen the beautiful city of KL for more than 2 months. Feels like ages really!
I suppose the face that I've been away to Kelantan-Bukit Jalil-New Zealand-Kedah since the age of 16 makes me miss home even more. It's been more than 10 years!
I do not enjoy staying far away from my beloved family.
One of many things that make me still stand on my feet is that everyone is coming to town on June 1st. Yeay!
Yeay!
Yeay!
Yeay!

The Victory and The Victors
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
Definitely Malaysians know how to play it super smart. Sibu is a developed place now. The Chinese community is RM18m richer now. Bridges made and repaired. Road quality improvised.
If only the Ibans and other ethnic groups knew the facts better, the reversal in support for BN would be even better!
Nobody buys your Islamic state issue anymore. So does your development stories. They are fairy tales now.
I am hoping for an even better future.
Let's continue to educate more Malaysians on what your vote means.
As I have told you, there's a possibility my vote will go to UMNO.
Only when I see them better than PAS.
As for now, it is unlikely to happen in the near future. I don't practise fanaticism.
You know that well, don't you?
till next time,

Once again, Congratulations DAP!

BORING!
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
What a disappointing day yesterday. It was, wasn't it?
I was in OT, assisting my senior in an operation and I could not pay 100% attention on the procedure. Instead, my mind was occupied with Thomas Cup.
Right after coming out, we had to attend another semi urgent case. I was further delayed.
After 7.30pm, I was somehow managed to partially finish my job.
If I knew that Malaysia would perform that badly, I wouldn't have rushed all the jobs.
I know there's only reason for this, it has got to be none other than you, Malaysia.
Maybe next time, eh?
till next time,

Sibu BUY-election is now just another news for me. BORING!

Harakiri
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
I thought tonight would mark the beginning of a 1992 Thomas Cup revival. I was wrong.
Why would we let player like Hafiz Hashim play for us? He has the hand, but he showed no fighting spirit.
Fighting Spirit..........
We lost to Japan. Perhaps, we should forget about winning the title. Losing to Japan almost means a 100% loss again China and Indonesia.
To be realistic or pessimistic, I really have no answer to that.
As a Liverpool supporter, I really have to uphold this,
Hold your head, up high
And don't be afraid, of the dark
'Coz at the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song
Of the lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed
And blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope, in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
I still believe in our national team.
I just hope they will show more pride when putting on the shirt.
till next time,

3 in 10
in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
My 1st entry in May 2010 eh? Hehe..
I've had 3 on calls in the 1st 10 days, that explains why, I hope.
I joined surgical department on March 11th, and tomorrow is the my very first ever day off really.
I need to recharge my batteries, and going back to sleep after Subuh prayer would be a good option.
Sometimes I think I would like to have 2-3 interested bloggers to join my blog. To keep this blog going, and I like exchange of ideas. It makes you a better person.
Should you have some interest, let me know. I prefer open minded individuals.
Just like how I accept the fact that Liverpool have just had a very disgraceful season. Chelsea deserved the title, and so did Bayern. Awesome stuff!
till next time,
