in the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
this is my 51st entry as I speak here.
Let me start with by wishing Good Luck to friends who will sit for exams soon. Effort + tawakal has been the equation of success for thousands of years. Some have started studying few weeks ago, some havent started to touch their books. Either way does not guarantee good results, however it is the latter that almost always the reason when things do not go the way as u planned. Everyone knows this and I am no different, ironically I never seem to learn from this. why la?

I'd also like to waste no time to congratulate the organisers who organised the Solat Hajat tonight. It's one of the rare occasions that saw more than half Malay Muslims gathered in Surau for one reason. To those who doesnt know, Solat Hajat is a prayer performed when one has a special request or hajat. Whether Solat Hajat is a bidaah/invention when it is done in congregation(jemaah), I absolutely have no idea. I shall let u know when I have the answers. However i need to address something, when it comes to the doa(right after the prayer), it's not neccesary for the jemaah to 'amin' it. Firstly, we normally do not share the same request with the imam. Secondly, most of the us do not understand the meaning of those Arabic verses, so why 'amin' those things that u dont understand. Thirdly, it's not always true but sometimes the Imams themselves do not understand what he recites.
By no means it's a definite no to 'amin' doa. Doa is ur request(s). Ur request may not be the same as ur friend's. Should any of us including me, have free time, try to spare some time in learning Sifat Solat Rasulullah. You would be suprised some practises we do are not the same as what Rasullulah has taught.
On the other side, I'm not condemning, but we always tend to be closer to Allah when we have exams, when somebody dies. Dont get me wrong,I'm glad to see we gathered today. Hmmm....most of these faces are not there when other things are organised. again, why la? what makes today so special that everyone thought they ought to be there? Instead of further criticising, I would like to urge my frens here to come together for other events. We have Quran(not yassin) recitation on Friday night(bkn malam jumaat). Alhamdulillah we always manage to get more than 20 students coming every friday.tapi kan the more the merrier org kata.
Lina Joy's case was finally settled few days ago. She didnt seem to be 'Joy'ful with that decision. While many celebrated the decision, the decision didnt go to well with non-Muslims. I intend not to be outspoken on this matter. One point I'd like to make here, we have to look at the bigger picture here. The issue on her wasnt only to get her religion status changed on MyKad. Should the decision went their way, it's a loss to the Bumis since it will only open the already ajar door on apostasy. Let me stop talking about this issue here. If any of u find it too sensitive, let me know. I'll delete it. Dr. Asri has written regarding to this matter at Utusan(
Murtad - Antara Emosi dan Realiti).
at the top of this entry is a picture taken in IMU. Terawih in 2005 kot. lama gile aa..
for football fans, it's fantastic to see David Beckham playing again isnt it? He's a good footballer whether u agree or not. He must be, otherwise Sir Alex wouldnt have picked him in the shirt of Red Devils right. Just like Mat Saleh says Sex Sells, in this case Beckham sells. On and off pitch he seldom disappoints us. Workrate 9/10, crossing 12/10, team spirit 10/10. gile respect aa? tp x se-best Gerrard kan. MOTM for Brazil vs England.

Gerrard - always the man. nasib la x join chelsea ari tu.
sambung nanti plak.
